Summary:
The project is envisioned in 3 stages. 1st 2 stages are completed and planning for stage 3 is underway
Stage 1: Python training Kick-off with 13 girls - Completed
1a.: Nandika taught in person 13 girls on Python Basics
1b.: Using tablets donated by UMA, Nandika taught online Python to 11 girls for 9 months
Stage 2: Expand- Skills & Number of girls - Completed
2a. Top 3 selected girls were taught by Nandika a Data Science course from Girls Who code'. Each girl received 4 completion certificates
2b. To expand to new girls, these 3 top girls created their own team of 3 new girls each and have started teaching Python basics to them
Stage 3: Sustain the programming classes leveraging the excellent digital infrastructure School already has - In Planning
Goal is to bring in professional teachers either in person or online to teach 2 classes/per week: 1 for beginners and 1 for advanced
Initial pilot for a 4-month duration is expected to cost $550-700
