Who We Are

Uttarakhand Mandal of America (UMA) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization registered in the year 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA, under the Laws of the State of California, United States of America.

The objective of UMA is to nurture a strong network of the Indian diaspora around the rich and diverse heritage of Uttarakhand state of India. It also includes developing and implementing an impactful social upliftment program in Uttarakhand.

Mission

The charter of Uttarakhand Mandal of America (UMA) is three-fold:

First: Promote the culture, heritage, language, and values of the people of the state of Uttarakhand, India, across the world.

Second: Aid socio-economic development of the people of Uttarakhand, India.

Finally: Encourage education by providing monetary support as well as access to the tools of learning to underprivileged people of the state of Uttarakhand, India.
